Every year, the Flowertown Festival brings people together with its mix of color, creativity, and community. This year was wild y’all. When I applied, I wasn’t even sure I’d get in, and when I did thefirst thing that ran through my mind was IT’S OPENING WEEKEND!!!! Hey, I’m only human, and baseball is my boyfriend. Don’t judge me, and if you do, judge me for being a Red Sox fan, they’re 2 and terrible! My next thought was, What am I thinking!?! I only have 1.5 arms!! Kim (sister shout out!) I need you!!!!
I worked so hard to get ready and I showed up with the hope of sharing my work, connecting with visitors, and maybe making a few sales. But what I walked away with was something much better, something that reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.
🌸 The Real Win: The People
Sure, business is important. But this weekend made one thing clear: the heart of what I do isn’t just about transactions …it’s about connection.
I met people who stopped by simply because something on my table made them smile. I made new friends who felt like old ones. I saw old friends, friends from Beaufort and I had conversations that went deeper than “How much is this?” And I even made a business connection that I know will shape the next chapter of my creative path. Shout out to Autumn Wabi and Wabi Wears
Those moments: the laughter, the shared stories, the unexpected encouragement , were worth more than any sales total.
🌿 A Creative Reset I Didn’t Know I Needed
Somewhere between the sunshine, the crowds, and the conversations, I realized something important:
I want to be more committed to my website and the community growing around it.
The festival reminded me how much I love creating, sharing, and connecting. And it pushed me to think about how I can bring that sameenergy online: consistently, intentionally, and with a little more fun.
🌊 Introducing: “Sea You Next Tuesday”
So here’s the exciting part.
I’m launching a new rhythm for my shop:
“Sea You Next Tuesday” a fresh product drop every other Tuesday atGypsyCastaway.com.
It’s my way of staying connected, staying creative, and giving you something new to look forward to. Think of it as a little tide thatrolls in twice a month, bringing new treasures with it.
Whether it’s jewelry, art, coastal‑inspired suncatchers, or something unexpected, each drop will be curated with intention and a whole lotof heart.
⚓ See You Online And Sea You Next Tuesday
Flowertown reminded me that this journey isn’t just about what I make, it's about who I meet along the way. Thank you to everyone whostopped by, supported me, or simply shared a moment with me. You helped spark something new.
And now, I’m excited to bring that spark back home to my website.
Visit GypsyCastaway.com and join me for the first “Sea You Next Tuesday” drop coming soon.
