Under the Sea and Other Beaufort Adventures

Another glorious trip down to Port Royal for the Soft Shell Crab Festival and honestly, my salty little heart is full.

Traveling to a differnt area and still having vendor friends who drop everything to help me set up while my lucky fin (or arm… whatever we’re calling it this week) heals? That’s a blessing I don’t take lightly. My vendor family stays at the top of my gratitude list!  They’re the real MVPs of this journey.

Huge shoutout to the festival volunteers and directors for putting in the work as always, and of course, to my incredible customers. Your support during this massive career shift means everything. Your encouragement pushes me through OT, fuels my comeback, and keeps me leveling up even on the tough days.

Meeting new customers is one of my favorite parts of this whole adventure. I love hearing what pulls you in, it could be mermaid Christmas trees, wild stories, shared battle scars ... all of it. You have no idea how much your stories spark my next project, inspire my color combos, and shape the next chapter of this salty little dream.

And on a personal note:
Sarah, Brooks, and Jesi, I’ll be smiling about us rocking out to “Killing in the Name” to close out the festival for a long time. My parents would be thrilled knowing I was in such good company… or at least amused that I found people who understood my willingness to do whatever it takes for a good time.
